On the first day of diwali is known as Dhanteras which is the day for worshipping Lakshmi. Lakshmi Puja is done every evening where many sweets and prasad are produced for lakshmi and the house will be enlightened with colourful lights.

2. Choti Diwali

Choti Diwali is celebrated as diwali on the second day where people’s massage their body and bath with oil to relieve tiredness so the remaining days of diwali can be celebrated with vigour and devotional.

3. Lakshmi Puja on Diwali

Lakshmi puja is celebrated on the the full moon on the 15th day of the month and this is the main celebration of diwali. Lakshmi and Broom are worshipped on this day because broom helps in keeping our home clean. Drums and bells are played on that day.

4. Padwa and Govardhan Puja

The fourth day of diwali is known as Padwa and Govardhan puja where it’s mainly for worshiping nature, which points out Govardhan Mountain. On this day they prepare varieties of foods and sweets and newly wedded couples are called for lunch on this day.
